Who we are
We are the Experience Christ group. We are a local committee in Colorado Springs, CO. We are not an official group or website of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Our group (ExperienceChrist.net) hosts two major events: Light the World: Christmas Experience and The Living Christ: Easter Experience. The website and its subdomains (Christmas.ExperienceChrist.net and Easter.ExperienceChrist.net) provide a platform for users to contribute content related to these events. Media
Users are able to upload images of their nativity sets to our site. These images are publicly displayed and available for viewing by other visitors. Please ensure that the media uploaded complies with our guidelines, as any inappropriate content will be removed by our administrators. Users can upload image files only—other types of media are not permitted.
Cookies
We use cookies to manage user sessions on our website. These cookies are necessary to maintain user logins and track activity during a session. The cookies we use expire within a few hours and are not shared with any third parties.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Who we share your data with
We do not share any personal data or media that you provide with third parties. Your data is used solely for the purposes of displaying your content on our website and managing your account.
How long we retain your data
We retain user-submitted data indefinitely to maintain the integrity of the content provided on our website. You may request to have your data deleted at any time by contacting us at cschristmasexperience@gmail.com. Additionally, users are able to edit their contributed content at any time, and in the future, you will be able to delete your own content via your account.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site and have contributed content, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided. You can also request that we delete your data by emailing us. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for legal, security, or administrative purposes.
Where your data is sent
All data provided by users is stored on our servers, which are located in the United States. We do not transfer your data outside of the U.S. at this time.
Terms and Conditions
By contributing your creche or nativity sets (“creches”) to our event, you are entering into a mutual agreement governed by these Terms and Conditions. It is vital to understand that, during the course of our event, your creches may be displayed and utilized over several weeks as part of our showcase. While many measures will be taken to ensure the protection and safety of your creches, it is important to acknowledge that unforeseen circumstances may lead to potential damage or wear and tear over the course of their use. The act of contributing your creches implies your acceptance of these potential risks.
We value your contribution to our event. Your consent to these Terms and Conditions allows us to use and showcase your creches as integral elements of our event over an extended duration. We assure you that your creches will be treated with the utmost respect and care. However, it is essential to recognize that events involving valuable items inherently carry certain risks. To address these risks, we recommend considering supplementary coverage or insurance, as necessary, to protect your valuable possessions. In the unlikely event of any damage or loss, we cannot be held liable, and any coverage for such losses will be the contributor’s responsibility.
In consideration of your creche contribution, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless our organization, its members, volunteers, and affiliated entities from any claims, liabilities, damages, or losses related to the use of your creches during the event. By contributing your creches, you release our organization from any and all responsibilities or liabilities associated with their display and use. It is your responsibility to ensure adequate protection, insurance, or coverage for your creches. By continuing with the contribution process, you confirm your understanding and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, acknowledging the potential risks and absolving our organization of any responsibility for damage, loss, or any other related issues.
The Title you provide for the creche and its Origin will be on display during the showcase. The image you provide along with the description will be available online only and will not be printed for the event. We thank you again for your contribution.
